Towels
Our hooded towels begin with thirsty 100% cotton terrycloth. They are built with durability, washability, and comfort in mind: designed by a mom who knows laundry happens (a lot!) and that adorable kids can still be rough and tough on their favorite things.
Distinctive by design. Our hooded towels are distinct from those manufactured elsewhere. Other towels often contain high density embroidery, resulting in stiff, rough areas and flat designs; some have loosely appliquéd decorations and protruding seams; many of their designs are copyrighted classics you’ll see everywhere. Our towels, however, are designed to be soft, comfortable originals.
Designed for comfort. Our towels are made to minimize stiff, dense embroidery: where possible, we combine machine applique and embroidery to keep the inside surfaces smooth and soft. When we use appliqué techniques, we keep edges flat enough to virtually melt into the surrounding toweling.
Tender yet tough. All seams in our towels are flat-felled to keep a smooth and comfortable interior as well as a neat and tidy exterior. This construction also makes our towels super durable. Our three-dimensional details—like ears and tails—give a more realistic, playful look that lasts wash after wash. No frayed edges here!
The result is a soft, flexible, durable towel that babies tender skin AND provides years of fun in the bathroom or on the beach.
Simple Care Instructions for a Long Life

Wash gently, tumble dry low. Our towels are lovingly decorated for years of fun—and gentle (but reasonable) care is the best way to keep those decorative ears, manes, tails, and appliques looking fresh. While our towels will hold up to normal, regular washing and stain treatments (color safe bleach only, please!), please avoid excessive heat in washer or dryer to avoid shrinkage or melting of decorative trims. We recommend washing on warm in a gentle cycle and tumble drying on low.
Snags happen. Terrycloth toweling is a loosely woven, loopy fabric—and snags will sometimes happen. If this occurs, please remember: “trim, don’t pull!” You may safely trim away only the long loop from the snag; as long as you do not cut the underlying woven base of the towel, a snag will not normally affect the durability of your item. A snag occurs when one small loop of the towel becomes caught and pulled—which steals away thread from nearby loops. As surrounding loops disappear, this results in a single long loop and a flat area where the woven foundation of the towel is visible. Pulling a snag will make the offending loop longer AND will extend the bare area—but this will not affect the durability or absorption of the towel for most ordinary snags. Always remember: carefully trim off the snagged loop to be even with the other loops, but do not pull!
Costumes
Our costumes are designed by a mom with you and your kids in mind: they’re washable, tough, and encourage original, creative play. Why limit their play to what our kiddos see on the big (and little) screen, when they can dream up characters to match their own imaginary adventures? We envision playtime as a happy activity by, for, and of children, limited only by their active imaginations. They’ll be having so much fun, you might want to join in, too!
Durability. During the design process, we choose materials that let our costumes stand up to enthusiastic daily adventures. Materials are washable whenever possible, will fit comfortably through multiple sizes as your child grows, and will not tear, pill, or stretch out of shape easily.
Superhero Gear
Polyester fleece is a nearly perfect fabric for costumes like our superhero capes and cuffs: fleece is strong stuff; it is stretchy, resists tearing, and is highly stain resistant. We sew straps on our superhero capes twice to make them extra strong, to stand up to enthusiastic play for years to come! The only tender care your superhero cape and cuffs will need is in washing: please use only low heat (or the “air dry” setting on your dryer) to avoid singeing or melting the fleece—just as you would care for any fine polar fleece activewear.
Other accessories like masks or patches are made with polyester felt (made from recycled plastic water bottles)—we recommend careful handwashing (with stain treatments where needed) followed by air drying to keep felt soft and smooth.

All our items are designed to comply with the US federal Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act and the toy safety standards outlined in ASTM F963-17. We proudly follow all policy guidelines set by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, including but not limited to product labeling, materials tracking, product safety testing, and chemical safety standards for children’s goods.
